The owner of this home had a company come in to restore her terrazzo floors and they left visible swirl marks everywhere. Needless to say, the customer was not happy with the results and called us in to see if we could fix it.
To restore these floors, we used a diamond polishing process in which we use diamond-crusted polishing pads in increasingly fine grit to remove the swirl marks and restore the mirror-like shine. Each round of polishing removes a very thin layer of the stone’s surface which eliminates the swirl marks. This requires a level of skill and precision that our highly-trained technicians bring to every job.
We also use hand tools to polish the floor along the baseboards to ensure a consistent finish across the entire floor surface. Many companies that do this type of work do not adhere to this level of detail, and thus their results are not as good.
